Dean Pana I have seen the fellow, hog deer, and chital fight and none of them compare to the rusa. We found dead rusa from fights, and watched there antlers break off half way up there main beams. All the rusa we shot over there had puncture holes through there faces and their rib cages. Have you come across any of the hybrid rusa cross sambar up there yet. cheers

Sideshow75... yes I have seen a few and have taken a couple also. One seemed to be pure sambar and the other was most certainly a rubar! Others I know have also taken some good ones. In June I took a good pure rusa and like you said it's entire chest area and neck was riddled with antler puncture holes which had festered up and were secreting a thick white smelly fluid! Was an awful smelling thing however it gives an indication on how brutal these fights can get. Not to mention that the tines need to penetrate almost 3 inches of leather behind the neck of some of the old big ones! A lot of power in those big necks to thrust those tines so deep! How was your New Caledonian season this year?

Hi mate it was a good day to fly. I fly it in 15 knots with no worries at all. You can catch the Phantom drones easily by grabbing the landing legs. It is a lot easier if you have a second person to catch it. I recommend that you fit a polarized lense to your camera to reduce the glare from the water. My filter is a N8. Cheers
